London, UK 2010-03-19. — Amulet Hotkey, today announced that its current DX series PC-over-IP® (PCoIP®) zero-client products have achieved VMware Ready™ status. This designation indicates that these Amulet Hotkey PCoIP zero-client products have passed a detailed evaluation and testing process managed by VMware and are now listed on the VMware Hardware Compatibility List.

New Remote Computing product range

Amulet Hotkey is proud to announce our new range of PC-over-IP® (PCoIP®) based products.

PCoIP is a groundbreaking technology that, in its simplest form, allows you to put your workstations somewhere else. Everything else remains the same. Your basic distributed workstation model, server and LAN architecture does not change. Less change equals less risk.

The benefits of moving workstations away from the workplace to an optimised data centre are significant:

On the Trading Floor
• Solve the challenge of power and cooling
• Streamline MACs while reducing risk
• Minimize downtime
• Reduce latency
• Comply with Disaster Recovery mandates

In the Command and Control Center
• Simplify complex control desks
• Accelerate redundant failover
• Enable effective disaster recovery

Security, Intelligence and Defence Agencies
• Comply totally with data security requirements
• Complete network integrity

TV and Broadcast Studios
• Eliminate noise
• Facilitate rapid studio reconfiguration

If uptime, power, efficiency, and performance matter in your environment, then Amulet Hotkey PCoIP solutions are right for you.

More about PC-over-IP…

The PC-over-IP protocol compresses, encrypts and encodes the entire computing experience using a ‘host’ device at the data center and transmits it 'pixels only' across a standard IP network to a stateless PCoIP-enabled desktop device: a ’portal.’

PC-over-IP technology allows enterprise PCs and workstations to be centrally managed in a data center while providing high resolution, full frame rate 3D graphics and HD media, with full USB peripheral interoperability, locally over a LAN or remotely over a high-latency WAN.

PC-over-IP is an innovative display protocol technology that enables the practical consolidation of all IT resources into a data center, eliminates the need for desktop workstations, PCs and thin clients, and delivers an uncompromised user experience to each desk, anywhere, without incurring the security risks associated with transmitting data across a network or having data reside in remote PCs.

PC-over-IP technology resolves the challenges of provisioning, managing, maintaining and securing enterprise desktops, offering a true, uncompromised computing experience for the end-user, while supporting the efficiency and security of centralized computing. TCO is significantly reduced.
