The DXHK card is a half-height, half-length PCIe format card that occupies one PCIe slot in the host computer. It requires no specialist drivers to be loaded by the workstation operating system and connects to the existing graphics card using splitter cables supplied. The card accepts dual digital video inputs (1900 x 1200 each) and uses a hardware PCoIP processor to compress and encrypt video data ready for transmission across the network to a suitable zero client.

The DXHK card also provides support for USB 2.0 and bi-directional stereo audio data. USB 2 devices will connect but do now run at full speed. The card enhances security firstly by encrypting data and secondly by operating black or white lists for USB devices completely independently of the computer base unit. 

The DXHK supports wake on LAN and can be cascaded in a suitable computer to provide support for quad or more video head configurations. Connections between DXHK cards in these configurations are implemented using internal cables so that only one external connection to the LAN is necessary.
