Each DXM workstation blade is fitted with Amulet Hotkey BIOS which ensures that the hardware provides full support for workstation class 32 and 64bit operating systems. Depending on the model, blades occupy one or two slots in the 10u M1000e rack mounting enclosure. This gives a maximum of 16 blades per enclosure or up to 64 blades per cabinet (assuming 4 enclosures per cabinet).

The M1000e enclosure provides support for a variety of network switches as well as redundant, hot-swappable modules for cooling and power supply. Management modules deliver comprehensive server-grade management tools that simplify the task of configuration, diagnostics and administration.

All DXM series PCoIP workstations are built on state-of-the-art Intel Xeon processors and chips sets and incorporate Amulet Hotkey manufactured PCoIP host mezzanine cards (occupying PCIe mezzanine slots) with integral NVIDIA graphics modules / cards.

The technology used in the DXM blade and M1000e enclosure ensure that this is one of the most power efficient systems available.
