Graphics Flexibility and Additional PCIe Slots

While not as dense as blade workstations, the Dell R7910 rack workstation provides PCIe slots and additional power to support higher performance NVIDIA and AMD workstation GPUs compared to the blade workstation options. The rack workstation can use Amulet Hotkey DXH4 half-height/half-length PCoIP remote workstation cards.  Alternatively, the rack workstation can use DXP4 full-height/half-length combination GPU + PCoIP remote workstation cards that can save a PCIe slot for quad display configurations, or two slots using 2x DXP4 cards for octal display configurations.  Up to 21 rack workstations can be installed in a standard equipment rack providing extreme workstation and computing power

With support for up to two of the latest Intel® Xeon™E5 2600 series processors, the Dell R7910 offers up to 44 processing cores and 24 DIMM slots for 1.5TB of RAM. When combined with NVIDIA Quadro or AMD FirePro workstation PCIe GPU cards provide workstation processing and graphics power for your professionals.

 

Performance Remote Access for Mobility and Flexible Workstyles

Providing a performance workstation is the first step, the next step is to ensure that the remote access can match that capability and the client endpoint.  The PCoIP remote workstation card in the Dell R7910 or Fujitsu C740 provide uncompromised, hardware-based performance to meet the needs of professionals that work with graphically demanding applications.

 

Quad and Octal video

A rack workstation using a single GPU and PCoIP processor card can support up to quad display configurations (up to 1920 x 1200), or dual display up to 2560 x 1600 resolution. Using two GPUs and two PCoIP processors, the can support octal display configurations up to 1920 x 1200 or quad displays up to 2560 x 1600 to a remote desktop without compromising performance or image quality.

 

Ultra-High Security

Protect corporate or government information by moving workstations into a datacentre. The PCoIP remote workstation card keeps sensitive information within the datacentre and only sends encrypted display pixels to the client endpoint. When using Amulet Hotkey PCoIP zero clients, the connection can be secured with advanced security algorithms such as 256-bit AES and NSA Suite B cryptography – used by governments to protect classified information.
