CoreStation Virtual Blade Workstation Key Features and Benefits
- CoreStation FX2 or M-series Platform
Amulet Hotkey provide virtual blade workstation solutions for PowerEdge FX2 and PowerEdge M1000e platforms to give you the flexibility to make the right choice for your deployment and environment.
CoreStation blades for FX2s chassis CoreStation blades for M1000e chassis - Highest density with up to 4 dual socket servers in 2U.
- Best in class GPU acceleration density with up to 128GB vRAM in 2U.
- Support for multiple GPUs per blade.
- Deployment flexibility by fitting into industry standard 2U rackmount form factor.
- High efficiency by sharing networking, power and cooling across blades in the FX2s chassis.
- High density with up to 16 dual socket servers in 10U.
- High GPU acceleration density with up to 256GB vRAM in 10U.
- Support for one GPU per blade.
- Highest efficiency for large deployments by sharing networking, power and cooling across more blades.
- Blades Provide Highest Density for Virtual Workstations
Virtual Workstation Blades provide the highest density for virtual workstations due to optimal matching of physical CPU cores on the blade server with the virtual GPU multiuser capability. Blade virtual workstations deliver more than 3x the density of similar rack servers with up to 1024 GPU accelerated virtual workstations in a 42U rack.
While multiple virtual GPUs can be added to the CoreStation VFC640 virtual blade workstation and the CoreStation VR740 virtual rack workstation the combination of single-threaded applications and a limit of dual CPUs can result in an imbalance of CPU to GPU resources. Contact us to discuss your deployment requirements.
Virtual Blade Workstation Virtual Rack Workstation - Highest density for virtual workstations.
- Multi-GPU support with optimal matching of CPU physical cores with the virtual GPU multi-user capability.
- Up to 4 dual socket servers in 2U.
- Fits well where up to 16GB video memory is required for the virtual workstations.
- Blade enclosures consolidate networking, storage, management and redundant power supplies.
- Moderate density for virtual workstations.
- Multi-GPU support, but may not be able to utilize the GPU capacity due limited CPU resources that result from demanding workstation applications.
- 1 dual socket server in 2U.
- Fits well where more than 16GB of video memory is required for each virtual workstation.
- Workstation power and performance
Powerful Single or Dual CPUs
With support for the latest dual Intel® Xeon™ Scalable processors, the CoreStation Virtual Blade Workstations such as the CoreStation VFC640 and CoreStation VM640 offer up to 56 processing cores per CPU, up to 2TB of RAM and local or SAN / network storage to handle your tough workloads and large datasets.Supports Virtual GPUs for graphics and compute acceleration
Each blade incorporates a virtual GPU, such as AMD FirePro MxGPU or NVIDIA Tesla with CUDA or OpenCL, to boost multiuser display performance and accelerate compute, rendering, simulation, modelling, analytics or deep learning workloads. - Flexible, efficient and agile architecture
Leverage the management and agility of virtual desktops for your workstation users. Virtual GPUs provide multiuser hardware acceleration to enable virtualization of workstations that were previously limited by software display rendering in VDI.
Share hardware resources across multiple users and quickly adapt to changing organization or workload requirements.
- Enhance Security
Send display pixels not user/application data
Protect corporate or government information by moving workstations into a data center. Use virtual workstation solutions such as VMware Horizon to keep sensitive information within the data center and only sends encrypted display pixels to client endpoints.Secure zero client endpoints including certified models
Amulet Hotkey zero clients, help further enhance security by providing a secure and stateless client endpoint with no X86 processor, no hard drive, no local storage, no local GPU or drivers to reduce the endpoint attack surface. In addition, Amulet Hotkey DXZ clients are the only zero clients that are certified as secure by the UK Government and NATO. Read more on CPA Certification. - Ultra-wide Display Experience
Transition quad+ display configurations to simple, standard dual ultra-wide curved screens to save desk space while providing a highly productive workspace for users. For example, use Amulet Hotkey DXZ4 zero clients with Dell EMC ultra-wide 3440×1440 curved displays.
- Performance Remote Access for Mobility and Flexible Workstyles
Mobile workstation options must trade-off memory/storage capacity, performance, battery life and even device weight. Virtualized workstations enable flexible and mobile workstyles without compromising on workstation capability and performance. Mobile devices such as laptops and tables simply need to decode the remote display protocol which enables use of smaller, lower cost devices with longer battery life.
