The Role
As a Solutions Engineer, you will play a key technical role within Amulet Hotkey’s operations. This is a hands-on position where you will be responsible for architecting and implementing best-in-class remote desktop and virtualized solutions for blue-chip organizations across EMEA. The role involves travel to customer sites within these regions.
You will work closely with both Sales and Technical teams, providing pre-sales and post-sales support and contributing to solution design, proof-of-concept implementation, and production rollouts.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Sales & Solution Design
- Ensure that sales propositions are technically sound, deliverable, and competitive in the market.
- Lead customer and prospect discovery sessions, mapping potential solutions to business needs.
- Provide hands-on support during solution proof of concept deployment, integration, and troubleshooting.
- Work closely with Product Teams and third party vendors / partners to align new solutions and services with customer requirements.
- Develop and present technical proposals, solution architectures, and detailed design documentation.
Post-Sales & Implementation
- Play an integral role in the final solution design and oversee implementation in production environments.
- Provide hands-on support as part L3 / L4 support escalation.
- Optimize system performance and ensure solutions meet best practices, security policies, and
compliance standards.
- Develop and deliver professional services for customer implementations.
Ongoing Support & Continuous Improvement
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, providing guidance and responding to queries in clear, straightforward language.
- Conduct system audits and health checks to recommend improvements.
- Provide training and documentation for internal teams and customers.
Key Skills & Experience
- Significant experience in delivering technical projects and enterprise IT solutions within a consulting or implementation role.
- Strong pre-sales experience, including exceptional communication skills and customer relations.
- Expertise in data centre solution integration, and system administration.
- Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Proficiency in remote access protocols, including Citrix, Omnissa Horizon and HP Anyware / PCoIP.
- Strong background in Citrix, Hyper-V and VMware VDI solutions and virtualization technologies.
- Experience with hybrid or cloud- based VDI deployments using platforms such as Azure, AWS or Citrix.
- Knowledge of networking principles, including routing, switching, firewalls, and load balancing.
- Experience with system automation and scripting.
- Experience in thin client support and integration, including client OS support Preferred Certifications
- VMware VCP (DCV, DTM), VCPA.
- Citrix Certified Professional (CCA-V, CCP-V)
- Microsoft or Linux system administration certifications
- Cisco (CCNA/CCNP) or equivalent networking certification

As a Solutions Engineer, your communication skills must be second to none. You should be committed, team-focused, and results-oriented, with close attention to detail and first-rate presentation skills.
The successful candidate will need to live within the South East of England, with the ability to travel to Central London as required for Test Lab access and customer engagements
